Blossom

That definately has to be one of my favourite words. Blossom. Just saying it makes me happy (although that probably tells you rather a lot about me…). I love, love , love this time of year – the trees are getting all dressed up ready for the main event – summer. Before that they are a bit like debutantes, all in fluffy, frothy meringue – like dresses waiting to be asked to dance. I love the fact that the garden is slowly waking up – each day on my way to work I pass a garden with a flowering currant bush in, and I have seen it starting to show buds, then become greener, and now has very little pink flowers on it. Kinda reminds me a bit of the Secret Garden, and a little bit of the scene in The Time Machine (the original, not the Guy Pearce remake) where he sees the passing of time in the shop window opposite his workshop…
I also found out that the little rhyme my dad used to say to me that I blogged about here was actually Winnie the Pooh, so to mark that, another favourite pooh-ism I love is “”I wonder what Piglet is doing,” thought Pooh.
“I wish I were there to be doing it, too.”
I am off to work in a bit, so whatever you get up to, have fun x

I love spring-time too. Easter is my favourite time of year as everything seems so full of promise and hope for a new growing season. We know that the worst of winter is now behind us and it’s full-steam ahead for the long and, hopefully this year, warm summer days.
blossom is one of my favourite words too – and I love spring just because of it. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
I love Spring too, its so motivating. Maybe that’s why the urge took me to decorate our bathroom this weekend. Hmmm
Hi Claire,
Ah I just read your last couple of posts and wanted to say we love you loads and you know I think of you as my other sister I totally understand the family thing, Jeremy and I have had those issues with his family and well my extended family… surround yourself with people who make you smile and like you for you is what I say. Life is too short for regrets. You will have a fantastic wedding day and I’m sure your mum and dad will be watching over you!!! Oh and you do look just like your mum when you smile.
Big hugs
XFaye
I have always had an affection for the word blossom too.. spring and autumn are my favourite seasons, I love the newness of spring, the freshness of new blooms and green grass growing, baby animals. And I love autumn for the firey leaves, pumpkins, harvests, and halloween.
thank you for joining up on my Vintage Swap, I will email you soon about it. ;o)
I love spring too. My wild currants have been in flower for a few weeks now. My early mirabelle plum is also blooming wildly, though how it thinks it’s going to get itself pollinated I don’t know. There aren’t any insects around and no other pollinating partners
what beautiful spring pictures, and what a lovely blog you have!
